Royal Pacific Investigations
consists of three teams with specific areas of expertise reflected
by their respective managers. These team leaders are all former
police officers with the RCMP who bring many years of distinguished
service in investigative positions within the police force. Each
team leader has developed specific and unique areas of expertise,
giving Royal Pacific Investigations an extensive knowledge base to
draw from.
Joe Vanderliek. After
graduating from University of Waterloo, Mr. Vanderliek joined the
RCMP
in 1979. During his service with the RCMP,
Mr. Vanderliek conducted thousands of criminal and civil cases ranging
from domestic to international investigations.
These
investigations provided him with the expertise in managing and strategic
coordination of in-depth federal investigations, liaising with domestic
as well as foreign agencies at a federal level. This included collection
of evidence, introduction of evidence in court, interviewing subjects,
and covert operations.
While working on a joint investigation
of evidence with US
Customs, Mr. Vanderliek received the 'US Customs Commissioners
Special Award' for locating and apprehending one of US Customs'
ten most wanted fugitives.
Larry Henderson was with
the RCMP from 1975 until 1996. During this time he specialized in
surveillance and fraud investigations. Shortly after joining the
RCMP he became a member of the elite surveillance team responsible
for collecting evidence with respect to only the highest profile
cases. After many years of working exclusively on this assignment,
Larry was promoted to senior instructor teaching the latest
surveillance techniques to other members of the RCMP as well as
other law enforcement agencies.
Additionally, Larry has been
trained for VIP Protection by the RCMP and has protected many world
leaders throughout his engagement with the RCMP.
Larry Atkinson was with the RCMP from 1972 until 1997. During
this time Larry investigated thousands of cases. Due to Larry’s
tenacious efforts and success as an investigator he was promoted to
the Criminal Intelligence Dept of the RCMP. This provided Larry with
the invaluable experience of coordinating and organizing
investigations into high profile cases. Larry excels in interviews
and often is able to extract vital information needed for a
successful case.
Larry is also VIP trained by the
RCMP and has provided protection for domestic as well as foreign
world leaders. In addition to being a vital member of Royal Pacific
Investigations, Larry is a contract instructor with the Justice
Institute of British Columbia. In Larry’s spare time he is highly
involved in his community and local schools where he lectures on
